CHAPTER 15. WILL THERE BE ANYTHING ELSE?


KRYSTELLE hands Melvin a Dag the Dinnersaur ashtray. A piece of paper is stuck to it, upon which is written, in big block letters:


HE ACCEPTS the ashtray graciously enough, but lays it immediately aside, allowing the paper to slip to the floor.

Melvin has the perfect excuse to brush her off like this, because he's right in the middle of giving the climactic speech of his career in the food services industry.
