CHAPTER 11. SPENCER GETS WISE

Realizing his intellectual inadequacy,
Spencer tries to remedy the situation.

   

IN HIS LIVING ROOM, Spencer kneels over the cardboard box where he keeps his main arsenal, comprising the expected firearms, knives, black jacks, brass knuckles, etc., also an aluminum rat-tail comb, a Martha Stewart-brand hot glue gun, a very wicked-looking antique soldering iron, and some tweezers.

 

SPENCER selects a bottle of chloroform and a rag, plus a large cattle prod. He stuffs these in his backpack and slings it casually over one shoulder.
