The black Autographs were the third series I established, named for the black cards that form the substrate. These papercraft collages are not intended to be Great Art, but rather to give people who want Autographs a way to be sure they are authentic.

Each composition is unique and assembled by hand using art papers, glitter, metallic ink, translucent ink, pastels, thick glossy smears & skinny drips, pale scribbles, washi tape, and stickers that may be 3-D, holographic, iridescent or metallic.

Reflective, glossy, sparkly surfaces are difficult to photograph or scan. These pictures can not do justice to any of the shiny elements. The black Autographs are especially challenging, because the substrate is waxed, so it reflects light. This website will give you an idea how they look, but they inevitably look better in real life than they do here.

Each collage is numbered on the back, where it can be dated and endorsed to order. The numbers assigned are arbitrary, not reflective of the order of composition, as I often work in batches, layering in design elements on several cards at a time.
